PC gamers will soon be able to play the supposed ‘Ultimate edition’ of last year’s Need for Speed title. The PC version flaunts PC exclusive features such as an unlocked frame-rate and the ability to display in resolutions up to 4K. The main issue is that most PC gamers may struggle to play this in 1080p let alone 4k.
The minimum requirements to play the game in 720p at the lowest settings demand an i3 processor alongside a 2GB GTX 750 graphics card. For a beefier 1080p resolution, you’ll be looking at the use of an i5 processor and the 4GB GTX 970.
Minimum Requirements for 720p/30fps at low settings:
- OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later
- Processor: Intel Core i3-4130 or equivalent with 4 hardware threads
- Memory: 6GB RAM
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB, or equivalent DX11 compatible GPU with 2GB of memory
- Hard Drive: 30 GB free space
Recommended Requirements for 1080p/60fps at high settings:
- OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 or equivalent with 4 hardware threads
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB, AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB, or equivalent DX11 compatible GPU with 4GB of memory
- Hard Drive: 30 GB free space
