Go Wild With Planet Zoo, Animal Conservation Sim Game Announced For 2019

If you enjoyed playing in the Jurassic Era and are looking for something a little more in this century then Planet Zoo is something you might go wild for.

From the creators of Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution, Planet Zoo is an animal sim game with all the wild animals you can imagine at a Zoo, where animal welfare and conversation is at the heart of the mechanics of the game.

“This is the zoo management game we’ve wanted to make for many years”

You’ll be able to build and maintain the habitats from Elephants, Lions and many more and you nurture the animals each with their own needs of your modern Zoo and help each species thrive in your care passing their genes onto future generations. Build habitats by caving lakes, hills or even mountains and make tunnels or caves to suit the needs of your park.

We’ve been told you can manage the Zoo in your own way from being involved in the absolute details of each animal’s lives to the more bigger picture of the overall Zoo while being able to develop new technologies, create famous exhibits and ultimately release your animals back into the wild.

This is the zoo management game we’ve wanted to make for many years. We’ve challenged ourselves to build on the games we’ve made before and to carry the great legacy of classics like the Zoo Tycoon series forward. We’re taking everything we’ve learned from our past work and focusing on modern values – incredible authenticity, rich management, limitless creativity and community sharing – to make our best-ever simulation game. We hope you’ll join us when Planet Zoo launches later this year.

– Jonny Watts, Chief Creative Officer of Frontier.

The strong aspect of repopulation of animals and their specific needs to help them thrive is an interesting take on the usual Zoo sim genre and we look forward to seeing more updates around the game. You can watch the announcement trailer below and the game is set to release exclusively on PC in Autumn 2019.
