TU12 Patch Reaches ‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’

Microsoft’s certification process was completed yesterday, as the Title Update 12 for Minecraft: Xbox 360 edition was finally allowed to go up onto XBOX LIVE.

4J Studios confirmed this via Twitter stating that the patch is now slowing coming online, region by region.

The update had been sent for certification about two weeks ago, a normal deadline time for Microsoft to test the systems latest updates. Testers where brought in to ensure the stability of new features, such as doubling the height of the maps from 128 blocks to 256, traversing the new Jungle biome, having pet cats and ocelots, finding baby villagers, battling iron golems and various other new and exciting changes.

As per standard the tutorial world have been altered once more by 4J studios, as has always been in the case in their 360 patch updates. This time hidden music tracks were added to the level, providing incentive for all players to traverse 4J’s pre made world.

Mash-up Packs where brought into play as well, completely altering textures, skins, sounds and UI within the game in order to keep Minecraft fresh for console gamers.

The price of these packs have yet to be confirmed, but will be around $3. This information cannot be gauranteed until 4J Studios legally signs off various legal documents.
