Set after the first game and before the second, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is an action adventure spin off game where you take control of Komaru Naegi, the sister of Makoto Naegi from the original game. After being rescued by the Future Foundation, she decides to help fight back against the Monokuma invasion using a gun armed with Truth Bullets that have many different effects. Joining for her the journey are Byakuya Togami and Toko Fukawa, along with her split personality Genocide Jill.
