No Man’s Sky Being Investigated by Advertising Standards Authority

The Advertising Standards Authority in the UK is looking into complaints made by gamers about the game’s misleading advertising.

A representative from the ASA confirmed to EuroGamer that the investigation was underway after several complaints where made mainly focused on the No Man’s Sky Steam Page. Among the claims the ASA have asked Valve and Hello Games to respond to videos that showed No Man’s Sky’s animal and ship flying behavior. As well as flowing water, large scale space combat and the size of the games creatures, structures and building seen in screenshots before release.

There are also questions to be answered about screenshots showing off graphics, lack of loading screens, trading systems between stars and faction on faction fights.

No Man’s Sky launched back in August has run into trouble over what gamers expected and what they actually got prior to release and after.
