The Persona series may be more widely recognised in the Western world, but they are in fact a spin off of a much larger franchise. The original game in this franchise was named Shin Megami Tensei, and was released in Japan on the NES in 1987. It was then ported to the Game Boy Advance in 2003, receiving a graphical overhaul and several updates to the gameplay.
For many years, it never officially crossed our borders, but now for the first time, Shin Megami Tensei is now available to play on iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. The game has been a fresh English translation, so you will be able to understand everything that happens in 199X Tokyo.
This new version of the ATLUS classic is now available for £3.99 until the end of March, at which point it will increase to £5.99. To buy the game for yourself or to find out more, be sure to visit the game’s official iTunes App Store page.
