After some time the much desired PC patch for Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut has finally hit online. Following what has been a month since the games release, patch v1.01 adds full controller support for the game, improves game performance, alters several achievement issues, tones some scenarios which were incredibly hard due to this editions faults and has corrected many highlighted crashes.
Some issues still reside, such as the resolution cap although these problems like improving the resolution past 720p and anti-aliasing have been looked at in Durante’s DPfix patch. It is hoped that the official and unofficial patch by Durante may actually solve the majority of issues currently holding back this PC edition of Deadly Premonition. Full controller support has been desired since launch and some are still concerned with an above average ammount of crashes for the title. Time will tell is Rising Star Games patches further.
