Over 32 Million Fans Tune in for LoL Season 3 Final

Riot Games has announced the official viewership for their League of Legends Season 3 World Championship Finals event.

Over 32 million watched South Korea’s SK Telecom T1 and China’s Royal Club teams compete at the sold out Staples Centre. The event was televised across China, Korea and a few other countries. The peak viewership for simultaneous viewers came to 8.5 million in comparison to the 8.2 million that watched the Season 2 finals, making this year’s tournament the most viewed eSports event of all time.

According to the LoL site Twurdy there are 70 million registered users of League of Legends. “League Of Legends is a huge force,” Erik Martin told GameSpot.
