Possible Banjo Threeie for the Wii U?

Big news for fans of the hit game Banjo Kazooie, a RARE ex-developer has announced that he has a team of people ready to make the long awaited Banjo Threeie.

NutsandBolts

In 2002 Rare was acquired by Microsoft shortly after Banjo Tooie was released. Ever since then Banjo Tooie we have been waiting for the third installment of the series. In 2008 we were instead met with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

The ex-developer, Grant Kirkhope gave a statement:

“I keep wishing that all the ex-Rare staffers would just get together and form a company, and go to Nintendo and say ‘give us the money. We’ll make you Banjo 3 for the Wii U’ or whatever…Just make Banjo 3 like it should have been made back then and it would be great, and it would be great on Wii U, and all the ex-Rare guys would be together again all happy and kissing each other… I just keep thinking we should just give it a try.”

With E3 around the corner, it’s possible that Microsoft may have given the go ahead, but nothing looks certain at the moment.

There aren’t many details, but does this mean we could finally see Banjo Threeie after over 10 years of waiting? What do you think? Please let us know in the comments.
