Pokémon Sword And Shield Guide

Although you spend most of your time catching and raising Pokémon in the Galar region, there are a few species which you can only receive as a gift from specific NPC’s.

Pokemon Sword

This guide will help you to find all the Gifted Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield.


#001: Grookey


Grookey is one of the three Starter Pokémon that you can choose from at beginning from the game.

You may only obtain one Starter Pokémon in each playthrough of the game in this way.

This Pokémon cannot be obtained as a Shiny.


#004: Scorbunny


Scorbunny is one of the three Starter Pokémon that you can choose from at beginning from the game.

You may only obtain one Starter Pokémon in each playthrough of the game in this way.

This Pokémon cannot be obtained as a Shiny.


#007: Sobble


Sobble is one of the three Starter Pokémon that you can choose from at beginning from the game.

You may only obtain one Starter Pokémon in each playthrough of the game in this way.

This Pokémon cannot be obtained as a Shiny.


#194: Pikachu


When you enter the Train Station in the Wild Area’s Meetup Spot, you can find a male NPC at the top left hand side of the area.

If you speak to this man, he will check to see if you have save data from Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee.

If you have save data from Let’s Go Pikachu, he will gift you a Lv. 10 Pikachu that has the ability to Gigantamax.

This Pokémon cannot be obtained as a Shiny.


#196: Eevee


When you enter the Train Station in the Wild Area’s Meetup Spot, you can find a male NPC at the top left hand side of the area.

If you speak to this man, he will check to see if you have save data from Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee.

If you have save data from Let’s Go Eevee, he will gift you a Lv. 10 Eevee that has the ability to Gigantamax.

This Pokémon cannot be obtained as a Shiny.


#310: Toxel


If you speak to the Female NPC that can be found on the right hand side of the Route 5 Day Care Center, she will gift you a Lv.1 Toxel.


#374: Dracozolt


Dracozolt can be obtained by combining the Fossilized Bird from Pokémon Sword and the Fossilized Drake from Pokémon Shield.

This procedure can be performed by speaking to a female scientist on Route 6.


#375: Arctozolt


Arctozolt can be obtained by combining the Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Dino obtainable in Pokémon Sword.

This procedure can be performed by speaking to a female scientist on Route 6.


#376: Dracovish


Dracovish can be obtained by combining the Fossilized Fish and Fossilized Drake obtainable in Pokémon Shield.

This procedure can be performed by speaking to a female scientist on Route 6.


#377: Arctovish


Arctovish can be obtained by combining the Fossilized Fish from Pokémon Shield and Fossilized Dino from Pokémon Sword.

This procedure can be performed by speaking to a female scientist on Route 6.


#378: Charmander


After you have defeated the Pokémon League Champion at the end of the main storyline, you will be returned to Postwick.

If you go over to Hop’s house, and walk into Leon’s bedroom, you will find a Poké Ball on the desk, with a note explaining that he has left you another Pokémon in celebration of your victory.

This Poké Ball contains a Lv.5 Charmander that has the ability to Gigantamax when it has fully evolved into Charizard.


#381: Type: Null


After you have defeated the Pokémon League Champion at the end of the main storyline, you will be returned to Postwick.

If you travel over to the Battle Tower, you will find an NPC who is standing beside a Lv. 50 Type: Null. Speak to this character and they will gift you the Pokemon.

As well as this, you will obtain items that will give it certain powers when it evolves into Silvaly.
