How to Find and Catch the Legendary Pokemon

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee Guide

Pokemon Let’s Go features the original Legendary Pokemon found in Pokemon Yellow, as well as two newcomers. With this guide, we’ll tell you what Pokemon are featured, as well as how to find them.

Legendary Birds

Moltres

Moltres is the firey Legendary Bird Pokemon. Moltres can be found and caught within the tunnels of Victory Road, before the Pokemon League.

Articuno

Articuno is the icy Legendary Bird Pokemon. Articuno can be found and caught on the Seafoam Islands, not far from Cinnabar Island.

Zapdos

Zapdos is the shocking Legendary Bird Pokemon. Zapdos can be found and caught within the Power Plant near Cerulean City.

Mew/Mewtwo

Mew

At the time of writing, Mew can only be caught by transferring it from the Pokeball Plus accessory. This is currently no known way to find Mew through regular play.

Mewtwo

After defeating the Elite Four and becoming the Pokemon Champion, Mewtwo can be found roaming inside the Cerulean Cave near Cerulean City.

Newcomers

Meltan

Meltan is a brand new Pokemon, originally seen in Pokemon Go. His method is a little bit different than the other Legendaries.

  1. To begin, you’ll need to transfer a Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let’s Go on the Switch. From there, your Pokemon Go account will receive an item called the Mystery Box.
  2. Using this mystery box, Meltans will be attracted to your location in Pokemon Go, where you can catch them to your heart’s content.

Melmetal

Melmetal is the evolved form of Meltan and can be aquired from Pokemon Go by using 400 Meltan candies to evolve your Meltan into Melmetal.
