VGU Talks – World Based Resources In Blade & Soul

MMORPG’s have one great push behind them and it is that you can commit to anything you want to in the games world. This includes crafting your own equipment or useful items that can help throughout your questing. Blade & Soul is no stranger to this as you can craft anything from weapons to soul shields and even crucial items such as keys and unsealing charms. But this is where the problem sadly arises.

The game’s two important  resources are Quartz and Water. These can be found in the world wherever you travel and are pointed out really well on the games maps. However, these resources for crafting are world based and vanish on a first come first served basis. This means that crafting anything in the game has increased in difficulty and the community market place for craftable items and these resources has gone through the roof. Should the game change this feature so that everyone can craft those important items? I believe so.

Check out my full thoughts in the video above and let me know your thoughts on world based resources in MMOs in the comments below.
