The latest trailer for Dragon Quests Builders shows of the various parts to being a successful builder. The first section of the trailer goes through gathering, explaining different materials you can collect to then use for your magical building power. You’ll start with basic components such as branches and foliage to create your own tools such as hammers and axes, advancing what you can create at each stage.

Further into the Become a Legendary Builder Trailer, it shows the player learning to gather materials more quickly using a cannon or via a teleporter which takes you to the Nether? Questing is also found within Dragon Quest Builders as well as hunting various monsters.

Crafting is showcased next, showing metal-working in a furnace, a caudron and a workshop. Vehicles can be crafted once you have gathered enough rarer items, allowing you to get across the land in a little car much faster which is pretty cool.

To keep to its roots as a Dragon Quest game and not just be a Minecraft clone, there are RPG elements within with monster battles out in the world, similar to that of old school Dragon Quest games. Fight, slimes, scorpions, ogres and dragons…(probably much more)

Base building can help keep monsters away with traps you can set around your village, you’ll need to not only build but also maintain your village and the villagers who occupy it.

Dragon Quest Builders is coming to PlayStation 4 & PlayStation Vita on October 14th, 2016!
