A teaser trailer for Halo 5 Guardians has had some suspicious activity surrounding it.

The latest iteration of Halo has had an interesting few days recently, with a teaser trailer that has sparked speculation all over the internet. In addition to the trailer, there is a teaser site hosted on tumblr, with #HUNTtheTRUTH as it’s centre point. The site has a timer that will countdown until 1AM GMT (6PM PST). It is safe to assume we will either get a clue at this point, or some sort of information regarding Halo 5. Given the trailers content, and the hashtag, it would be a fair assumption to believe that we will be lead on some sort of “Hunt”, perhaps for the “Truth”.

*Spoiler* The trailer (linked above) shows the barrel of a sniper rifle and a shot being fired. As the bullet passes us, you can see it is engraved with a word. Though I wasn’t able to freeze the frame perfectly myself, it appears to say “traitor”, though that is speculation on my part as the website, and the youtube thumbnail show this image, but as I said, I could not pause at the right moment to confirm this. Maybe those with a keener eye would be able to prove otherwise, though it seems pretty solid that it says “Traitor” in the trailer as well. The marked bullet, then flies past the screen and travels toward a spartan helmet that we all recognise, before it hits it and causes it to shatter into many shards. Then the Halo 5 Guardians logo fades in with the Hunt The Truth hashtag.

At this point it is unclear what we will find once the timer reaches zero, but the good news is we won’t have to wait long to find out.
