Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Announced

Fans of Borderlands are in for a treat as the crazy co-op shooter series is coming to Ps4 and Xbox One. Remastered versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel are coming to the new generation of consoles with quite a large number of features. Also, bonus points for not using the word “Definitive” anywhere in the title.

The new features include the ability to play the game in spilt screen with up to four players simultaneously, and maybe a new 60fps rate, judging by the trailer.

The compilation also includes the now-ludicrous amounts of DLC packs that have been released for the games, which increases the potential playtime into the hundreds of hours.

This package doesn’t include the original Borderlands, which may irk some longtime fans of the series, but that game’s story feels separate to the story of Handsome Jack and his rise to fame told by the, well, Handsome collection.

Players will also be able to keep their saves from the previous generation as long as they’re in the same console family (e.g PS3-PS4). Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will release for PS4 and Xbox One on March 27.
