Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox One will be supporting DLNA and CD playback after Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 will not (although it is under review.)
Microsoft says that they are working on getting the Xbox One DLNA certified so it can act as a receiver when streaming media from other devices, such as any on Windows 7, 8 and even Windows Phones.
While the Xbox One will support audio CD playback, it won’t support CD ripping. It also won’t support MP3 or AAC playback from iPod, iPhone, Zune or even Windows Phone over USB.
