Irrational Games and 2K have today released the first 5 minutes of the upcoming DLC episode for Bioshock Infinite.
Entitled “Burial at Sea”, the episode is set in the underwater Ayn-Rand-inspired city of Rapture, and casts Elizabeth and Booker DeWitt in a film-noir style return to the world of the ground-breaking original Bioshock, released in 2007. Elizabeth is now a sassy, cigarette-smoking femme-fatale and joins private investigator Booker on a quest through the underwater city.
We can expect to see familiar people and places, such as the Big Daddies and Little Sisters, and we’re likely to learn more about Rapture and its inhabitants, and maybe even how it reached the state it’s in in Bioshock.
Needless to say, the video contains spoilers for the first 5 minutes, so if you’d like to go in blind, we suggest you avoid watching this. For everyone else, grab some popcorn and dim the lights.
We’re excited to see the return of Booker, Elizabeth, and Rapture, who are probably the three best characters in the Bioshock series. Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea will be released on PS3, PC and Xbox 360 before the year’s end, but there is no exact date as of yet.
