Nintendo 3DS owners who will be in London or Manchester on the 28th of September are in for a treat, as Nintendo have announced the first ever National StreetPass Day for the UK.
Nintendo will be running special events at Waterloo Station in London and Manchester’s Picadilly Station. During these events, players will be able to increase their StreetPass hits, take part in competitions, and maybe even spot Mario’s little brother Luigi hanging around for a photo op.
Nintendo are also promising larger-than-life versions of their StreetPass games, with players able to take part in a real-lfe game of Puzzle Swap, adding their own puzzle pieces to a series of large Puzzle Swap panels at each event.
Both events will host competitions in which players can compete in Mario Kart 7 and Luigi’s Mansion 2 – with prizes like exclusive goodie-bags up for grabs.
There will also be a stand at the Eurogamer Expo, which will be taking place in Earl’s Court on the same day – visitors can grab a free Mario hat by showing their entry wristbands, so anyone heading to the event can probably expect a sea of red hats in the Nintendo area.
