This is our unofficial guide for choosing your Starter Temtem in the Early Access version of Temtem.
As in the Pokemon series that Temtem is heavily inspired by, you are given a rare Temtem as your starting partner by Professor Konstantinos.
Each of the three Temtem species has their own specific weaknesses and special attacks, and can evolve into a new form once you have gained a certain amount of experience.
Crystle is a Crystal type Temtem with a particularly high defense and a liberal amount of HP. It is best used when attacking Electric and Mental type Temtem, and is best switched out when you are facing a Fire or Earth type.
It has a special Trait named Amphibian. If it is attacked by a Water based move, Crystle’s speed stat will be increased for the duration of the fight.
When Crystle reaches Lv. 34, it will have the ability to evolve into a Temtem named Sherald.
Smazee is a Melee type Temtem with an increased attack strength and a speed that will make it more likely to attack first in battle. It is best used when attacking Earth and Crystal type Temtem, and is best switched out when you are facing a Mental type.
It has a special Trait named Rush. If it gains a status ailment from a move in battle, Smazee’s attack strength will temporarily increase.
When Smazee reaches Lv. 34, it will have the ability to evolve into a Temtem named Baboong.
Crystle is a Mental type Temtem with a vast variety of special moves in its arsenal. It is best used when attacking Neutral and Melee type Temtem, and is best switched out when you are facing a Crystal type.
It has a special Trait named Soft Touch. If Houchic attacks a sleeping enemy, the foe will not be woken up from the impact.
When Houchic reaches Lv. 34, it will have the ability to evolve into a Temtem named Tental.
