So EA are at it again making more claims to annoy a group of people on a mass scale it seems. Rajat Taneja has made clames that the Xbox one and Playstation 4 are a generation ahead of the highest end PC on the market today. Full statement says:
Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have adopted electronics and an integrated systems-on-a -chip (soc) architecture that unleashes magnitudes more compute and graphics power than the current generation of consoles. These architectures are a generation ahead of the highest end PC on the market and their unique design of the hardware, the underlying operating system and the live service layer create one of the most compelling platforms to reimagine game mechanics.
These are loftly statements from a man that offers no detail of evidence to back up these claims and people have already taken to the internet defending their PCs. It isn’t known if Taneja is referring to the real ‘top end available’ PCs as most gamers will build their own, or if’s he’s comparing the new consoles to standard self-packaged PCs like Dell. Either way the statement is bold (and unsupported) at this time so it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes EA to back out of this one.
What do you think of the statement? Is it true or just corporate brown nosing? Let us know in the comments below.
