HTC U11 owners in the UK can now download Amazon’s Alexa smart assistant for their handsets for a choice of two different AIs.

The U11 already comes pre-installed with Google’s Assistant but to be in line with the US, the Alexa App has come to UK HTC handsets, so if you have an Echo or Echo Dot you’ll be able to have the same assistant schedule meetings, order items, play music and anything else the cloud-based service offers.

With the squeezable sides of the U11, you can also set it up to launch Alexa making it easier to wake her it up and get to work.

You don’t have to switch over to Amazon’s Alexa unless you already use it in your home and would like a more unified experience. The built in Google Assistant has a lot of the same features and of course ties in with Google Home if you have one. The choice really is up to you.

If you download the Alexa app, you will be asked to sign in with your Amazon account when you use it for the first time.
