Banner Saga 3 has been successfully funded through Kickstarter in less than seven days from the campaign was first activated.
The team Stoic reached their initial asking investment of $200,000 for Banner Saga 3 through Kickstarter in less than seven days and are now looking to the next milestone of $250,00 which will add playable Dredge with more milestone goals to be revealed as they hit each one.
“We’re thrilled to have funded the Kickstarter in less than a week. Once again it’s down to the amazing support of the community, and we truly appreciate every backer that has helped us reach our funding goal. This is huge for us and have now revealed the first stretch goal! A big thanks again to all of our supporters for helping us get this far.”
– John Watson, co-founder and Technical Director at Stoic.
Banner Saga 3 which is the third installment from the indie company will be the last as players go through the final journey beyond the wall of Darkness and head into a world unlike the first two titles. Much like the previous two games, the third will be hand-drawn Viking themed turn-based strategy game where player choice will affect the journey.
Stoic are keen to improve the game beyond the initial asking pledge with more stretch goals on their Kickstarter page in the coming days which is set to add more production value into the final game. The first game which was Kickstarted back in 2012 saw Stoic raise $723,886, so if that is anything to go buy we should see a whole host of different additions come into the game from new goals. At the time of writing Banner Saga 3 is currently sitting at $218,229
