EA have announced that Sim City is coming to Mac OS X on 11th of June. Players who already own the PC version will be given the Mac version for free and players who buy the Mac version will also receive the PC version too. Maxis have said that cross platform multiplayer will be supported by both games.

As well as cross platform multiplayer, saves and cloud sync will also be cross platform meaning you can stop playing at work on your Mac and continue where you were at home on your PC. After the disastrous launch of the PC version, is another copy of the same game a way to appease players? June 11th is also the first day of E3 and a chance for EA to not make the same mistake twice…we all hope.
