Activision recently revealed the new Call of Duty game for this year titled Infinite Warfare. The game will feature a full campaign that will take players into space as well as the return of zombies with a series of upgrades. But the huge announcement was that the game will be coupled with a remaster of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare that has been adored by fans as one of the best tiles in the franchise.

But has Activision and Infinity Ward made a mistake with their marketing of the game? Yes, the remaster sounds like a great idea but there is not way of purchasing the remaster without also buying into Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. That means that if you have no desire of buying or even playing the new title in the series, then your money is going to be wasted. No option is available at this time for a £30-£40 price tag just for the remaster. Whether Activision will change their thoughts on this is up to time and the response from gamers.
