Tom Clancy’s The Division Will Feature No Micro-Transactions

After gamers tweeted out to Ubisoft to question as to whether their new game, Tom Clancy’s The Division, will include micro-transactions the company has responded with a confirmation. The Division will not feature micro-transactions of any kind, according to Community Manager Natchai Stappers.

This is great to see after the original announcement back in 2014 where the company were interested in utilising transactions for those who did not have the time to wait for certain mechanics in the game. This initial idea however was quickly shot down as in 2015 they had changed their minds on the practice of that one specific transaction. Now we have full confirmation that the game will not feature micro-transactions of any kind and that the Pheonix Credits that started this discussion will be explained closer to the games launch.

What are your thoughts on The Division dropping micro-transactions? Do you think it will only work in the games favour? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
