Tom Clancy’s The Division Beta Hit 6.4 Million Players

The Division had it’s Open Beta weekend just gone and the numbers are officially in. Ubisoft has revealed that the game saw 6.4 million players awaken as sleeper agents in the big city of New York. On top of this players were spending an average of 5 hours in game, taking on any opposition that comes their way.

The Dark Zone, a PvP area of the beta, was also seen as a huge success as players spent around 2-hours on average in the area taking on fellow players. With almost 50% of the population going rogue. A final fun fact is that in the Dark Zone, 63,309,800 pieces of contaminated items were successfully looted, which averages out at 10 items picked up by every player as they explored this specific area.

The Beta itself was truly fun to play with this past weekend and we are looking forward to the full release come March 8th. Be sure to have a look at our impressions of The Division beta as well as let us know about your thoughts on the game in the comments below.
