VGU Previews: Tom Clancy’s The Division Beta Impressions

Welcome to our look at the beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division. This video goes over my thoughts on the time playing the beta over this past weekend during the official open beta phase.

The game overall was very enjoyable with very little to talk about. The only thing up for debate are the graphics in comparison to that of the other titles in the Tom Clancy franchise. Vegas 1 & 2 as well as Siege, at least for now, look better in comparison to how The Division was seen in the game. Maybe this will be addressed by the official release but even then it was a very slight difference in comparison to the others.

The open world also played a huge roll in winning me over. In comparison to a similar game like Destiny, The Division’s open world feels way more fluent and workable in this RPG FPS environment. Missions that take you to iconic locations are brilliant and those small encounters that happen whilst travelling to new locations are done really well.

Overall I was very impressed by this Beta after being on the fence for quite some time. Find out my full thoughts in the video and let me know what you think of The Division in the comments below.
