To accompany the release of Titanfall 2 this upcoming winter, McFarlane have announced a new range of action figures based on the popular mech shoot-em up by Infinity Ward. Alongside Titanfall, Infinity Ward are also one of three developers behind Call of Duty, releasing their title on a three year schedule.
Titanfall released in March 2014 for PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 to much critical acclaim, with a metascore of 86. While the first person shooter mechanics weren’t anything revolutionary, the mech combat was arguably the best we’ve seen – just take a look at our review (spoiler: it got an 8.5/10). A sequel was inevitable and this time it has a confirmed single player campaign, something the original was sorely missing.
Other video games endorsed by McFarlane include Assassin’s Creed, Halo and Five Nights at Freddy’s, alongside iconic pop culture series like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. It’s not confirmed what the figures will actually look like, however if the detail on their other products is anything to go by, collectors and Titanfall fans won’t want to miss out.
