Blizzard always likes to wow their fans with how pretty they can make their cutscenes. The opening of the original World of Warcraft is still beautiful and the newest ones assualt your eyes until they submit to the gorgeousness of just how much work must go into each second.
Blizzard have outdone themselves once again by revealing the intro to the next installment in their hugely popular Starcraft series, “Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm”. Showering the screen with Zerg and Terran bodies, setting the stage for the events of the games 20 or so single-player missions.
The expansion will focus on the Zerg faction and Kerrigan, after she was reverted back to being a human at the end of the previous game “Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty”. The game takes place two years later with Kerrigan reclaiming her power over the Zerg race to claim revenge against the dictator Arcturus Mengsk. While fans probably shouldn’t expect Zerg armies the size of those in the trailer, it is expected that vast armies of the purple mites will be thrown around.
Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm is set for release March 12th later this year.
