Rockstar Games have revealed more delays for the PC version of GTA V and a release date for their Online Heists mode. Originally set for 24th March, PC gamers will this time have to wait until 14th April (unless there is another delay).
Rockstar’s official announcement offers the insight that “a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC”. As a “thanks” for waiting, anyone who has pre-ordered GTA V for PC will receive an additional $200,000 in-game cash for use in GTA Online.
Alongside this delay, the release date for GTA Online gamemode Heists was revealed to be 10th March. “Heists will bring a brand new 4-player cooperative gameplay experience to GTA Online, giving players the chance to team up to pull off a string of intense, multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County.” A host of new Heist screenshots have been released with this information, available on the Rockstar Newswire.
With what is hopefully the final delay for GTA V on PC, 14th April is the date to remember. Heists is still expected to be released on launch with the PC version, with PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One players able to access the new GTA Online gameplay mode at the earlier date of 10th March
