Nintendo of America and ATLUS have teamed up to release the Persona Q Nintendo 3DS XL. The design is modelled after the games Grimoire styling. The book which is used within the velvet room containing the information on the different Personas. The 3DS will also feature character designs on the back but no image as of yet has been released to show this.
The hardware will be sold exclusively in GameStop as a RRP of $199.99. UK and Europe there has been no confirmation of it coming over this way. Only time will tell if non US residents will be able to secure the console on the Gamespot website or the usual places of eBay for ten times the price.
ATLUS have also explained that you do not need to worry about cancelling your pre-orders to grab the console with the game. As the Persona Q themed Nintendo 3DS will be sold separately from the game as a standalone hardware.
The move for a special unit probably comes from the fact that Persona Q is the first Persona game for the Nintendo 3DS system and puts characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4 together in a combined universe with a new adventure. Gameplay mechnics and style are based off of Etrian Odyssey, where teams will be able to find their way through dungeons in a first person view.
Persona Q is slated for release in America on Novemeber 25 and in the eShop the RRP is $49.99. If you grab the first print of the game you will also get the games iconic Tarot cards in some special packaging which holds both the cards and the game.
Pre-orders and a limited first-run printing of the game will include Set #2 of the Persona franchise’s iconic Tarot cards and come in special packaging to hold the cards and the game. To add more fuel the Persona Q 3DS XL will be available in limited quantities over in the US
For us UK ans Europe residents the game will be released a few days later on November 28 and there is no word yet if we will get this shiny new 3DS console.
