After storming the video game world with Tomb Raider last year, the developers have decided to give us a new Lara Croft adventure to keep us satisfied until Rise of the Tomb Raider is released. With the help of DK Publishing, Lara Croft will embark on a quest entitled The Ten Thousand Immortals, that takes place immediately after the events of the critically acclaimed focused reboot.

Lara is coming to terms with the events that happened within the Dragon’s Triangle, but that is put on hold when her friend Sam is afflicted by a deadly poison, and her only hope to be cured is by the magic of a powerful artifact. As could be expected, Lara is not alone in her quest to seek the talisman, and will have to contend with secret societies, deadly assassins and power hungry treasure hunters before she can claim the treasure for her own.

Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals will be released in October, and will be written by Dan Abnett, who is best known for his work on Marvel Comics Guardians of the Galaxy.
