The next PlayStation 4 update will allow Sony to introduce the “most-requested features.”
Sony announced today on PlayStation Blog that “as a direct result of your feedback, we’ll soon be bringing some of your most-requested features to PS4 with a system software update in the upcoming weeks” a breakdown of which is below.
- Adds a “rich video editor” to help personalise video clips
- Adds an HDCP off option for capturing gameplay via HDMI
- Allow you to export and save videos and screenshots to a USB drive
- Allows you to capture longer videos
- Plus “a lot more”-still to be announced
An additional PS4 update will add the ability for Twitch broadcasts to be archived, currently a feature that only the Xbox One supports. In addition broadcasts will be delivered in 720p.
There’s no news on when the update will become available, but it is expected “in the upcoming weeks.”
