Valve-produced documentary Free to Play will make its debut next month and to be released for free through Steam on March 19, the company has announced today.
Free to Play is a feature-length documentary explores the lives of three competitive Dota 2 players: Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin from Ukraine, Benedict ‘hyhy’ Lim from Singapore, and Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis from the United States.
Before the documentary is released on Steam next month, there will be a public screening and Q&A session with the creators and special guests on March 18 at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, California. Tickets for the event are online for $25.
Coinciding with the launch of the documentary on Steam will be the release of the Free to Play Pack on the Dota 2 store. The pack contains sets used by the tree players from the documentary: Fear’s Sven, hyhy’s Doom, and Dendi’s Pudge as well as new wards, a courier, and a HUD.
