The Last of Us, GTA 5 and Tearaway on top in BAFTA nominations

Naughty Dog have a high chance of receiving some shiny ornaments at this year’s BAFTA Games awards as their latest release, The Last of Us, leads the competition with 10 nominations.

Rockstar’s GTA V and Media Molecule’s Tearaway follow closely behind with 9 and 8 nominations respectively. These 3 titles will be in the running for the prestigious “Best Game” category hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winning game Dishonored. They will, however, face stiff competition from rivals in the category Assassin’s Creeed: Black Flag, Super Mario 3D World, and indie title Papers, Please.

The awards show is scheduled to take place on March 12th and will be streamed live on Twitch.tv. Alternatively, tickets are still available.on the BAFTA website.
