Players have been worried over the prices that have surfaced around the net showing the digital download prices for some PS4 games hovering around figures such as £63, which is $103 US.
EA’s Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14 were priced at £63, but according to Sony this isn’t final. Speaking to Eurogamer, Sony said it activated the store ahead of launch to prepare for the console’s arrival, so prices may vary until then.
For comparison, the same games cost £55 on Xbox One, so it’s likely that these prices will come down to match Microsoft’s next-gen digital store prices. Players are still able to pre-order games ont rh PS Store, and will have the difference refunded if its price drops later on.
It’s likely that Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14 will be released on PS Store at launch at £55, which would calm fears over next-gen pricing if only for a little bit. What do you think? Will you be buying games digitally next gen? Let us know in the comments below.
