New Pokémon Snap Release Date Revealed By Nintendo

New Pokémon Snap

When many Pokémon fans think back to the days of the Nintendo 64, they will fondly remember the original Pokémon Snap, a safari-based experience where you must take photographs of various Pokémon species for Professor Oak. Earlier this week, Nintendo dropped an all-new trailer for the long-awaited Nintendo Switch sequel, New Pokémon Snap, which showcases all new details as well as the game’s final release date.

After being invited to the Lental region by its resident Pokémon expert Professor Mirror, you must board the all new NEO-ONE vehicle and snap photographs of the region’s native Pokémon with your Nintendo Switch shaped camera to fill up your Pokémon Photodex. This time around, you can play as a male or female trainer, use classic Pokémon tools such as the Pokémon Food to tempt Pokémon out of hiding, and discover the mysteries behind the Illumina phenomenon which causes the environment and various Pokémon species to glow with a golden aura.

New Pokémon Snap will be released worldwide for Nintendo Switch on April 30th, 2021.
