Co-op shooter World War Z is currently free to download on the Epic Games Store with the latest update bringing cross-play to PC and Xbox users.

Focus Home Interactive and Saber Interactive have allowed gamers to download their title for free and keep forever which you can pick up on the Epic Games store.

As the crossplay is also part of the announcement you can also pick it up on the Xbox Store at a massive 75% discount until March 30th.

Both platforms will be able to play together in PvE missions and the horde mode. PlayStation 4 players might not have to wait too long to join in as Focus and Saber say “it is expected to arrive in the future”.

If you’ve not downloaded the Epic Game Store, there are also another two games being given away for free as well. Figment and Tormentor X Punisher are also being given away.

The Epic Games Store give away a number of free games, at least one a week – so now is the time to get cracking and get those freebies.
