ASUS announce their next phone which they call the “Most powerful and innovative ZenFone ever”.
The ZenFone 6 is the next-in-line to take the mantle featuring a Flip Camera which uses ‘a groundbreaking innovation’ that addresses the twin notches and low-resolution front-facing camera other smartphones can struggle with. With a motorised flip up a module that houses a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera and a wide angle 125 degrees 13MP secondary camera, it can switch the camera 180 degrees from front to rear depending on use.
Without the need for a second camera on the front of the device, the ZenFone 6 has a notchless NanoEdge 6.4 inch display with Gorilla Glass 6 which created a near borderless and tougher viewing experience. Combined with the latest SnapDragon 855 mobile chip, it delivers 45% more power and 20% faster graphics than the previous generation of processors.
All this is combined with a 5000mAh battery for long-lasting use with 8GB of ram for today’s gaming and other demanding apps. ASUS says the battery should last up to two days on a full charge but will be interesting to see what that looks like when playing games or using apps.
ZenFone 6 Availability & Pricing
The ZenFone 6will be available in the UK from May 16th from the ASUS UK website. The 64GB will cost you £499, 128GB will cost £549 and the top-end device with 8GB ram and 256GB will be £599.
