Although it has come in peaks and troughs, no one can deny that Pokemon Go has been a monumental success. Since it’s launch, the game has expanded from the original 151 species of Pokemon to include the additional creatures from Johto and Hoenn. Two of the major additions in the Johto roster were Espeon and Umbreon, the Psychic and Dark type evolutions of Eevee, the first generation rabbit like Pokemon who is able to evolve into many different types of Pokemon.

In a similar manner to how you are able to obtain Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon, the only way to obtain Espeon and Umbreon is to rename your captured Eevee before you make it evolve. If you want to obtain an Espeon, you must give it the name Sakura. To obtain an Umbreon, you must give it the name Tamao. Both of these names are of the Kimono Girls that use the corresponding evolution as their active Pokemon in Pokemon Gold and Silver.
