It’s the day a lot of Bandai Namco gamers have been waiting for. The sequel to the successful Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has officially gone gold today!
What does “Gone Gold” mean in video games?
For those who are unaware, gone gold is an industry term for when a video game goes into production for manufacturing the retail release of a game.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom developed by world-renowned video game studio LEVEL-5 Inc is set to be released on March 23rd, 2018 and has gone gold ahead of this release date to be ready and shipped out to retailers.
If you are familiar with the Studio Ghibli films you’ll recognise the stylistic comparison between the game and the series of animated movies. All this is down to former Studio Ghibli animator Yoshiyuki Momose who works on the franchise to bring that life into the RPG title.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC on 23rd March 2018. Not too much longer now…
