CES 2018: Corsair Release a Range of Wireless Peripherals

Corsair at CES 2018 announced a new range of wireless mice, keyboard and other peripherals powered by their unplug and play wireless technology.

The new range includes the K63 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, K63 Wireless Gaming Lapboard, DARK CORE RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse, and MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mouse Pad. The wireless charging is the most recent addition to many companies accessory lists to allow gamers to always have power in their cordless devices.

What is the K63 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Corsair’s K63 gaming keyboard is their CES 2018 Innovation Award Honoree and has Cherry MX Red switches connected via either 2.4 GHz wireless,  Bluetooth or a wired USB connection. The keyboard is able to stay alive for up to 75 hours.

To prevent snooping the wireless if 128-bit AES encrypted to stop keystrokes being monitored from an outside source and is minimalist with the tenkeyless design to also combine as a living room gaming set up with the K63 Wireless Gaming Lapboard.

Corsair’s K63 gaming keyboard and K63 Wireless Gaming Lapboard are available to buy right now and cost £119.99 for just the mechanical keyboard or £159.99 for both the keyboard and lapboard.

What is the Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse

The Corsair Dark Core RGB gaming mouse features a 16,000 DPI optical sensor with the same connectivity as the K63 keyboard with three different options and has two interchangeable magnetic side panels to expand the layout for each gamer. Rather than just offer a single colour the Dark Core has three different RGB lighting zones which can be customised in Corsair CUR software. Finally, it will have up to 24 hours of battery life depending on use.

Corsair has also stepped up similar to Logitech and offered a wireless charging solution for the Dark Core mouse. The Dark Core RGB SE allows you to pare the mouse with the CORSAIR MM1000 Qi wireless charging mousepad without the need to plug in your mouse every day to keep the battery topped up.

This combines a dedicated Qi wireless charging spot with a microtextured hard surface and also includes adapters for devices that don’t natively support the wireless charging for the Qi support through USB Micro-B, Type-C, and Lightning adapters.

Dark Core Gaming Mouse, Dark Core SE Availability and Price

The Corsair Dark Core SE gaming mouse will be available from 2018 and costs £99.99 for the Wireless Charging support and the Corsair Dark Core without wireless charging will cost £89.99.

If you want the charging surface the MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mouse Pad, it will also be available from 2018 and will cost £79.99.
