Following the release of Silver and Gold, soon Pokemon: Crystal Version will be available for purchase on the Nintendo 3DS’ Virtual Console. On January 26th, players will be able to pick up Pokemon: Crystal Version for only $9.99

Crystal is a milestone for a number of things in the Pokemon series, including the ability to choose between a boy or girl character, as well as animated battles. Some interesting updates are coming to the game as well, the Pokemon Bank will be available for storing Pokemon across titles. This allows players to bring Pokemon from Crystal all the way to Ultra Sun and Moon. Along with the Pokemon Bank, players will be able to take advantage of the 3DS’ wireless capabilities for trading and battling.
