Bloody fencing game Nidhogg is getting a sequel and Meshoff have released a new trailer in preparation for the August 15th release.
The latest trailer features the custom character creation screen with lots of stabbing, axe throwing, bow shooting and plenty more weapons to get your hands on which is a welcomed addition than just the swords of the first game.
The game’s art direction has taken a big shift which has divided fans but the devs have explained that they wanted to have more advanced animations and said: “It seemed silly to use all this potential on pixelated stick figures”. You can find out their entire reason for changing up the style in their blog on PlayStation.
Nidhogg 2 builds upon what the previous game set out to achieve and succeeded but has included more weapons, character customisation, news levels and a whole new soundtrack.
Nidhogg 2 is coming August 15 for PS4 and PC (Windows/Mac).
