Yet another PS2 classic has arrived on the Playstation Store. Sadly though, it’s only currently available in its native Japan.
Being re-released under the hefty title of Ultimate HD Hits: Star Ocean: Till the End of Time: Director’s Cut, the critically acclaimed title has been the subject of some fan demand to see a classic-era Star Ocean game hit the system.
Much like other PS2 ports, Star Ocean will be using the PlayStation 4’s emulation technology. Meaning that the game will be feature upscaled graphics in luscious 1080p, however the CGI cut-scenes will remain in their original resolution. The game will also feature support for share-play and have it’s own bevy of trophies.
Ultimate HD Hits: Star Ocean: Till the End of Time: Director’s Cut is currently available in Japan, with no fixed release date confirmed for a European release. However, English language trophies have been spotted within the Japanese version of game. Meaning that we may be seeing this one a lot sooner than expected.
