The initial launch line up for the Nintendo Switch might be a little thin on the ground, but rest assured that plenty of games will be heading to the hybrid powerhouse in the first year of launch. To show some of the highlights that are headed our way from the indie community, Nintendo broadcast a Nindie Showcase for the Nintendo Switch earlier today via it’s official Twitch and YouTube portals.
During the event, several new games were confirmed to be in development such as grim reaper simulator Flipping Death, and a few ports of games from other systems such as Shakedown: Hawaii, Stardew Valley and Yooka Layleee. The event also included some titles which will be not be appearing on any other platform, such as SteamWorld Dig 2 and Runner 3, the long awaited continuation of the Bit Trip Runner series.
All of the games revealed in the Nintendo Switch Nindie Showcase will be available later this year for Nintendo’s newest console. They will most likely be available via the Nintendo eShop, with some titles receiving a limited physical release.
