After releasing Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as some of the gifts for Xbox Live Gold subscribers last month, the next set of games to be released for free under the Games With Gold promotion have now been announced by Microsoft. Xbox 360 owners will be treated to Borderlands 2 and Heavy Weapon. If you own an Xbox One, then you will be able to download the horror fest Layers of Fear, as well as the award winning shooter game that is Evolve.

As with the previous updates, these new games will be available on Games With Gold from March 1st and 16th, and will be on promotion until the dates stated in the trailer below. As an added bonus, the Xbox 360 games will be playable on the Xbox One through Backward Compatibility.
