Fallout 4

Fallout 4 has recently been graced by Bethesda, overlords of the wasteland by releasing a high-resolution texture pack which can be downloaded on Steam.

The texture pack which has the official party line of “Experience the wasteland like you’ve never seen it before with the Fallout 4 High-Resolution Texture Pack! From the blasted buildings of Lexington to the shores of Boston Harbor and beyond, every location is enhanced with ultra-deluxe detail.” is a whopping 58GB of disk space.

If you are like me and wish to experience Fallout 4 in as many pixels as possible, the massive size of the file is a happy trade-off for a little more punch in Dogmeat clarity.  Reverting back to the non-hd texture pack is also very simple and you can do it inside the Fallout 4 menu.

Bethesda are also working on a patch for the PlayStation 4 to bring support to the Playstation Pro which will take more advantage of the better processing power and 4K support.
