It’s only been a few days since the reveal of the frankly awesome story trailer for Injustice 2, but that hasn’t stopped the guys at NetherRealm studio from further fuelling the hype train. Ed Boon, the mastermind behind both Injustice and Mortal Kombat, teased the notion of a beta on Twitter earlier this evening.
In the not so cryptic tweet, Ed posted “Don’t know why, but I can’t help feeling like there is something missing today…”. This was coupled with an image of the greek alphabet, only minus the letter for “beta”.
If this is to be taken on face value and a beta is on the horizon, this would round off what has been a week of treats for those looking forward to Injustice 2. Besides the aforementioned trailer, there was also the announcement of Darkseid as a playable character. He can only be acquired through pre-ordering Injustice 2 however, but it’s speculated he may be available for purchase at a later date.
Injustice 2 is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as of May 16th.
