How to Evolve Munchlax & More in Pokémon Sun and Moon

Pokémon Sun and Moon contain loads of Pokémon, old and new. Along with this there naturally comes brand new ways for them to evolve. So, here are all the important evolution methods you need to know about in your playthrough of Pokémon Sun and Moon.

How to Evolve Munchlax

First off, if you grabbed the Munchlax with the Snorlium Z; it will evolve when it’s happiness is at maximum. Want to get this done quicker? A trainer on the far right of Route 3 will give you a soothe bell. Give this to Muchlax, keep it in your team and it will evolve in no time.

How to Evolve Alolan Rattata

Alolan Rattata at level 20, Cubone at level 28 and Rockruff at level 25 (in Pokémon Moon) will all only evolve at night.

How to Evolve Yungoos and Rockruff

Yungoos at level 20 and Rockruff at level 25 (in Pokémon Sun) will only evolve during the day.

How to Evolve Salandit

Salandit can only evolve if it is a female and reaches level 33.

How to Evolve Steenee

Steenee can only evolve if it knows the move “Stomp”.

How to Evolve Pichu

Pichu, like Munchlax, also evolves after its happiness reaches maximum. When it does, use a Thunder Stone to evolve your new Pikachu.

How to Evolve Alolan Sandshrew and Alolan Vulpix.

Use the new Ice Stone item, which can be found in Po Town, to evolve Alolan Sandshrew and Vulpix.

How to Evolve Magneton, Nosepass and Charjabug

Magneton, Nosepass and Charjabug can only evolve if they are in Vast Poni Canyon.

How to Evolve Crabrawler

Crabrawler only evolves while atop Mt. Lankila.

How to Evolve Eevee into Leafeon

Eevee can evolve into Leafeon if you level up while near the moss rock in the Lush Jungle area and Glaceon near the icy rock in Mt. Lanakila.
